The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs Perrieres Vieilles Vignes, which suffered minor hail damage (10%), is one of Tardy’s more fruit intense crus with black cherries and white-tipped strawberry aromas. The palate is mediumbodied with fine grain tannins, taut and quite citrus-fresh and tensile on the finish with admirable length. This is a delightful Gevrey from Guillaume Tardy, contender for his best 2021.
