Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 93
The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles is very promising, mingling aromas of sweet berries and plums with hints of raw cocoa and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, layered and enveloping, it’s bright and fleshy, with an elegant, charming profile that belies its depth and concentration.

Cask sample. Transparent garnet. Much less direct nose than the village (town?) Nuits but more concentrated, richer, spicier, more muscular than the other Nuits. Not as much fun at the moment with some hints of overripeness. A messy finish. It may develop into something exciting but it lacks pace for the moment.
