Les Ruchots, Les Milandes, Les Sorbès and Les Charrières. Barrel sample. Dark, ripe and rich. Sweet and savoury at the same time. Then lovely sweet black fruit on the palate. A firm, compact Morey but still very Morey in its mix of spice and flora and darker fruit. Deep and long and generous but the tannins keep the shape and freshness. Long and deep on the finish. (JH)

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet cherries and red berries mingled with nuances of rose petals, orange rind, cinnamon and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, muscular and structured, with lively acids, fine concentration and a youthfully chalky finish.
