Tasting Notes
Vinous 88
Good full ruby-red. Fresh aromas of blackberry, redcurrant, licorice, pepper and violet, complemented by spicy oak. Juicy, fresh and silky, showing a seamless texture to its black and red fruit and spice flavors. Sweet and suave on the finish, with building tannins. Another very good Carillon.
Robert Parker 86
The second wine, the 2011 Carillon de Angelus, is a soft, herbal, round, juicy red that is ideal for drinking over the next 5-6 years. It is good rather than inspiring.
