Tasting Notes
Vinous 93
Pale greenish-yellow. Delicate, pure aromas of lemon and minerals. Brisk and backward, with lovely acidity enlivening the dusty, tactile citrus and mineral flavors. This really saturates the palate. Finishes with lovely tension and finesse, not to mention impressive length. The crop level here, according to Gerard Boudot, was just 27 hectoliters per hectare. He added that 2010 is one of his favorite vintages in a long time, thanks in large part to the sharply reduced yields.

Rich and interesting with an undertow of hazelnuts. Elegant too. Really very convincing. Lovely balance.
Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022

The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres is deep, rich and expansive. It possesses gorgeous depth in its fruit in a style that is at once relatively open and supple for the year, but with a dimension of freshness that comes from the floral notes that are woven throughout. The finish turns a bit more compact as the wine’s structural elements take on a more prominent role. Anticipated maturity: 2014+.
