Tasting Notes
Vinous 88
Full ruby-red. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and minerals. Juicy and tightly wound but essentially pliant, with smooth black fruit and licorice flavors complicated by leather and fresh herbs. Classically dry and very Pauillac. Finishes with supple but firm tannins.
Robert Parker 88
Delicious, supple and close to full maturity, the 2007 Lynch Bages exhibits a dark plum/purple color with some lightening at the edge along with tobacco leaf, bay leaf, black currant and earthy, loamy notes. Medium-bodied, supple and charming, it is best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019

Much darker than the above and still some fresh dark fruit on the nose – even some cassis. Firm, dark and chewy on the palate. Honest and grounded, an impressively harmonious whole. Still pretty firm in texture and a longer life than most. (JH)
