Tolpuddle Vineyard

In 2011, Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW embarked upon an eventful road trip in Tasmania, which culminated with the purchase of Tolpuddle Vineyard. During the trip, the cousins asked famed local winemaker Peter Dredge to organise a tasting of Tasmania’s best wines and quickly discovered their favourites all came from the Tolpuddle Vineyard. Evidently, this was a site which demanded Martin and Michael’s attention and before their trip was through, the duo became the proud owners of a vineyard that would continue to define fine Tasmanian winemaking.

Tolpuddle Vineyard is now regarded as ‘arguably Tasmania's most valued and important site’ (Decanter, September 2022). The demand for these wines far exceeds production from this small vineyard, so we apologise in advance if we can’t supply the volumes you would like.
